My friend, Reidun, Erin and I visited all 12 quilt stores on the Blue Bonnet Shop Hop. Reidun’s first year. :) Lots of great quilts and inspration! We also visited a fabulous native plant nursery in Medina. Absolutely beautiful!!!! Everything was in bloom and a little bluebird came out of its nest to show off for us. Loved it!! Thanks Ernesto!

Check out our watermelon!

20110927 Watermelon 2

My neighbor gave me some plants she started but could not remember what they were. One turned out to be a canteloupe and we have gotten three small but yummy fruits from it. The other turned out to be a watermelon. Isn’t it beautiful!! We are going to cut into it later today.

I found this cool plant at Wal-Mart and couldn’t resist it. It is called “Etna” and is an Echeveria Hybrid.

This one came off a potted plant. However, the garden is planted and growing well. We will have more tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, beans, okra, watermelons, chives, basil carrots, dill, baby corn, etc.
